Every day I try to make something here more beautiful. It’s a slow process, but over time, it works. Every day I also fight my instinct to only notice what is not beautiful yet. My rule is, if it bugs me three times, I have to do something about it. This is a very useful rule, which is why I’m sharing it. Applies to many things, not just house maintenance. Rule does not apply to children, jobs, spouses.
